Pages laid out around what visitors come to find.

  • Development

Hand-built, fast and accessible on every device.

  • Easy updates

Change your text and pictures yourself, no developer needed.

  • Online shop

Products, payments and orders when you sell online.

How we work

  1. Plan

What the site must do, who it’s for and which pages it needs.

  2. Design

Phone and desktop layouts you can click through before we build.

  3. Build

Code, content, speed and accessibility checks, page by page.

  4. Launch

We go live together, then hand over and stay on call.

Good questions

How long does a website take?

It depends on the pages and features — we agree a timeline with you before anything starts.

Can I update it myself?

Yes. We can set up a simple way for you to edit text and pictures.

Will it work on phones?

Every page is designed for the phone first, then for bigger screens.

Stonehouse Retreat

We imagined a small guesthouse in an old stone building whose owners spent hours each week answering the same questions by phone — rooms, directions, meals and availability.

Concept study. Stonehouse Retreat is a fictional guesthouse created by Z Matchbox to demonstrate a website approach — it is not a client project.

  1. Answer the real questions first

Rooms, prices from, directions and what is included sit in the first two screens. Atmosphere comes next, not instead.

  2. Slow photography, fast pages

Large, calm interior photographs are delivered in modern formats and sizes for each screen, so the site feels unhurried without loading slowly.

  3. Clear information for search and AI assistants

Rooms, amenities, location and contact details are written in plain language and described with structured data, so they can be understood and quoted accurately.

What it shows

  • Content structure driven by real customer questions
  • Responsive design with performance-minded image handling
  • Search-ready structure and structured data planning
